Terry Mortensen - Chairman and Class Coordinator

Terry joined SeniorNet as a student in 2010. He has completed almost every course conducted by SeniorNet and soon became a Helper. Terry joined the committee in 2016 and was soon asked to take on the role of Project Co-ordinator. Terry began his career with the NZ Police working in areas of Corporate Fraud and Security. He then moved on to become the Head of Fraud and Security for a major Banking Organisation.

Ann Hill - Secretary (Acting)

In 2003 Ann joined SeniorNet as a student and soon completed a number of courses. Ann then went on to become a Helper and Tutor. In 2013 Ann joined the Committee and immediately took on the role of Secretary/Treasurer. In 2017, Ann was nominated for, and accepted the role of President and Committee Chairperson. Ann has a background in Administration and Office Management and has also had a long association with the Manawatu Floral Art Society and the Central Districts Regional Bridge Committee, where she has held a number of senior administration roles. 


Chris Flaherty - Treasurer and Technical Support

Chris joined SeniorNet in 2016 as a Tutor. After conducting a number of courses he was nominated for and accepted a position on the committee in 2017. Chris has a background in Company Management and over the years has been trained in most commonly used Computer Programs. Due to family moving overseas, Chris has developed a keen interest in Social Media and is now able to pass on his knowledge to other SeniorNet members.

Ann Hall - Membership Co-ordinator

Ann joined SeniorNet many years ago as a student. After completing a number of courses, Ann left SeniorNet to pursue other interests. After returning to complete an Android class, Ann then became a Helper and Committee member. Ann has a background in Sales and is experienced in strategic planning and budgeting.

Margaret Buckley - News Co-ordinator

After a previous life of dairy farming in the UK, Margaret and her family made the decision to come to New Zealand in the early 1990’s.  Margaret became a motel manager, which is where she gained a lot of experience using computers. After answering an advertisement for likeminded people to start a computer group Margaret became involved with SeniorNet where she has been actively involved ever since.  Margaret is a passionate believer in the aims and purpose of SeniorNet and works diligently towards opening up the digital world to Seniors.
