Please Recycle - Don't Dump!

In an effort to reduce the huge amount of electronic equipment - especially computers - which is dumped each each year, the Society of St Vincent de Paul has recently opened an electronic waste recycling centre in Hastings. The mountains of items shown below represent just some of the gear which has been dropped off in the past few months.

Currently they are accepting most forms of electronic equipment, working or otherwise. Where possible, items are repaired and offered for sale at very modest prices through their onsite store. Other items are broken down into component parts for responsible recycling.
